Unite NY, which advocates for election reforms, has issued a report on voting in Buffalo following the unwillingness of the city’s Charter Revision Commission to put the issue on the ballot for November’s referendum.
Among Unite NY’s findings:
Nearly two-thirds of general elections for the Common Council have been uncontested since 2011.
Two Council districts – Delaware and South – haven’t had a single contested primary or general election during the last three election cycles.
