Our Work.

Unite NY's civic engagement initiatives and political reform efforts are fueled by two things: original, detailed research that shows what New Yorkers actually want, and the community partnerships that turn that research into action. Both give our supporters the knowledge and confidence to effectively advocate city by city, county by county.

Five Pillars of Reform

New York ranks near the bottom nationally on election reform. Too few voters think their voice matters — and those who benefit from the status quo aren't in a hurry to fix it. Unite NY's five election reform initiatives are designed to change that, one community at a time.

Voter Empowerment Index

Our Voter Empowerment Index delivers independent data on where New York voters stand on election reform, and puts those findings directly in front of the lawmakers and partners who can act on them.
